Encaustic wax is a magical way to create one-of-a-kind, handmade ornaments that make lovely gifts for any occasion! Join me in my private studio to create something beautiful for yourself or for your family and friends. These also make wonderful embellishments for wrapping those extra special gifts.
In this workshop we will use wax in an assortment of vivid colors to paint wooden blanks in a variety of shapes. There’s no limit to the color variations and combinations!
Don't worry if you haven't tried anything like this before, the technique I’ve developed for these is easy to learn, and very forgiving. You can reheat the wax and try again until you get something you love! I'll have lots of materials available for you to work with, including the pre-cut shapes, hangers, and a variety of charms to use for embellishment. I hope you’ll join me!
All supplies will be provided for each attendee to make up to 6 ornaments. If you have time to make more, additional materials will be available for purchase.
